<부유하는 조각>은 가까운 미래 혹은 먼 과거에 존재 했을 법한 정원의 재현이며, 환경적인 혹은 유전적인 영향으로 변이되거나 진화하는 생물체들에 대한 이야기로 점점 더 인위적으로 변해가는 도심 속 인공 정원입니다. 어느 날 유전자의 변형으로 동식물이 지금의 것과는 달라질 거라는 디스토피아적 미래상은 과거에 두려워했던 오늘의 모습이 아니었을까 예측 해 봅니다.

두 개의 <부유하는 조각>은 하나는 변이된 유기체의 형상으로 하나는 태양을 닯은 빛의 파편들로 채워져 페스티벌 기간 동안 미술관 앞 호수에 띄워집니다.

<Floating Sculpture> is a recreation of a garden that might have existed in the near future or distant past, an artificial garden in an increasingly artificialized city center that tells the story of organisms that mutate or evolve due to environmental or genetic influences. The dystopian vision of a future in which genetic modification will one day make plants and animals different from what they are today is a prediction of what we have feared in the past.

Two <Floating Sculptures>, one in the form of a mutated organism and the other filled with shards of sunlight, will float on the lake in front of the museum during the festival.
